The harvest from the garden doesn't always go as planned, and sometimes we're left with a small crop of odds and ends to deal with. The answer to a small basket of produce is quite simple (and extremely delicious): homemade giardinera. Giardinera means "from the garden" in Italian, and that's the perfect name for the magic of this hodge-podge quick pickle.
